More than just a service…

Customer presented vehicle for one of our common rail diesel (CRD) services with the complaint of noisey cold start and poor performance.

As part of every service we include a computerised injection system check, MAF sensor clean and cooling system pressure test. For an electronic diesel injection system to work correctly it relies upon readings from certain engine sensors.

One of the biggest killers of these vehicles in our neck of the woods is air and fuel contamination. Fitment of an air filter with an extra foam layer as opposed to a plain Jain genuine type is a standard part of this service.

In this customers case this vehicle is in very poor shape as pictured below, not only are the injectors faulty, but the turbo is also on its last legs.

We’ll be seeing them back for a pre-purchase inspection on their new car shortly!
